Ai and Written State Complaints
Jan 01, 2025Lots of exciting new activities at Advocacy Unlocked!
I am offering a series of workshops and a workgroup, Mastering Written State Complaints this month, as well as focusing on complaints in my weekly column, IDEAs on Education. I’m also writing a book on the topic, so I have read - seriously, read word for word - every special education community complaint decision issued in 2024 in Washington state.
Ai & WSC
Now, I’m using Ai to take a deeper dive. I have so many questions, and Ai is fantastic at compiling large amounts of data and answering my questions using that data. Fact checking is necessary but Ai, as a productivity tool, speeds the analysis along.
I love artificial intelligence. When used responsibly, our online overlord can simplify and condense massive amounts of complicated information. It is a wondrous tool for improving advocacy skills!
In the coming blog posts, I’ll be sharing prompts and Ai responses. I’m also working on more free resources, including:
- Cheat sheets of prompts for understanding and writing state complaints.
- Check lists of documents you should be collecting, whether you have disagreements with the IEP team or not.
- Cheat sheets of allegations that you can use as templates to draft your complaint.
Stay tuned! If you would like to be notified when I have uploaded these, please add yourself to my free resources.
